Justice for Alfred Wright rally planned Saturday

A group called Justice for Alfred is planning a rally Saturday.

Ericka Williams said the family will address the crowd and ask for, "those who know the truth to come forward."

A statement issued by the group says it wants the FBI from Washington, DC along with the Civil Rights Criminal Justice Department to take over the case.

A march is set to begin at 10:30 a.m., starting at 701 Calder avenue.  The march will end at the Jack Brooks Federal Building with a rally to begin at noon.

According to 12News file stories, Alfred Wright, 28, of Jasper, was reported missing by his family on November 7 in Hemphill, Texas.  His body was found 18 days later on November 25, during a family-led ground search in the same area where he had been reported missing.

Attorneys for the Wright family said their clients lost confidence in the Sabine County Sheriff's Office after that office called off the search for Wright off so early.  His his body was later found close to where some of his belongings had been discovered.

Toxicology results in the case were released Wednesday.  The report showed Wright had a combination of drugs in his system.
