Former firefighter arrested in stolen fire truck case

A spokesperson for the Hardin County Sheriff's Office told 12News that a man is in custody in connection with a stolen fire truck.

Hardin County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Kenny Davenport said Justin Wayne LeBoeuf, 19, of Lumberton, turned himself in after learning that Hardin County Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Judge T.J. Hall had signed a probable cause affidavit for LeBoeuf's arrest.

Officials say LeBoeuf is a former volunteer firefighter.

The truck had already been recovered, but now deputies have recovered all of the equipment that was stolen along with the truck.

LeBoeuf is in the Hardin County jail awaiting arraignment on a charge of Unauthorized Use of a Mother Vehicle. Other charges may be filed pending an investigation.
