BEAUMONT -

A Beaumont man is in custody following a police chase that ended at the Valero station at the corner of Concord and Lucas in Beaumont just after 3 p.m. Wednesday.

The chase began around 2:45 p.m. in Beaumont, where officers were attempting to serve outstanding Orange County narcotic warrants on 23-year-old Kevin Joshua Jackson.  As authorities drove up to an apartment complex in the 3700 block of Magnolia, police say Jackson jumped into a vehicle and fled.  He led police on a chase through parts of north Beaumont and along 11th Street.

The chase ended at the corner of Concord and Lucas where officers say Jackson pulled over and gave up.  He was taken into custody and booked in the Jefferson County Jail for two outstanding drug warrants out of Orange County, and for another charge of felony evading arrest in Beaumont.
