UPDATE: Store owner charged after carrying gun through mall turns himself in

BEAUMONT -

A Beaumont store owner charged with disorderly conduct for carrying an AR-15 through Parkdale Mall has turned himself into police.

Derek Poe, who owns Golden Triangle Tactical, was charged after police say he toted the weapon on his back through the mall on December 28.

Poe turned himself in Friday morning at the Beaumont Police Department.  He was released after posting $2,500 bond.

If found guilty of disorderly conduct, Poe faces up to 180 days in jail and up to a $1,000 fine.
