Search is on for man missing from Hardin area

UPDATE: McHnery has been found safe. The Silver Alert has been canceled.


Liberty County officials have issued a "Silver Alert" from a man who went missing from a Liberty County home.

Deputies say Timothy Wayne McHenry, 63 is about 5'9" tall and weighs about 150 pounds. They say he was last wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt. His family tells authorities that  McHenry has issues with dementia but is also very lucid at times. He was last seen leaving a relatives residence at 190 CR 2008 in Hardin, Texas around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. He was driving a 2009 Honda Accord, 4 door. gold in color with Texas License plate BJ6 H115.

Liberty County Sheriff's office says McHenry is from Round Rock and was visiting relatives. They say he only had about a quarter tank of gas and has not yet purchased any gas since he went missing.

The public is ask to watch for the Honda vehicle as described above and/or Mr. McHenry, himself, should he be on foot and if seen, call any local law enforcement agency or the Liberty County Sheriff's Department at (936) 336-4500.
