FBI investigation of BISD could be expanding to include Central booster club

12News has learned that the FBI's investigation into BISD could be expanding.

On November 7, the FBI not only raided the Beaumont Independent School District administration building, but also the homes of Devin McCraney and Sharika Allison.

McCraney is the district's director of finance and Allison is the comptroller, both are currently on paid leave.

On Tuesday, 12News learned that the FBI is also looking into the district's booster clubs, specifically the booster club at Central Medical Magnet High School.

A 12News investigation revealed that's the only one of the three high school booster clubs not run by parents.

Parents, who used to be part of the Central booster club, say it was disbanded by then-principal Patricia Lambert.

Lambert, who is now the assistant superintendent for secondary schools, claims she  has nothing to do with booster clubs.

One of the sources who was interviewed in our special report, which aired last month, says he was interviewed by the FBI Monday.

He says the FBI and many former Central booster parents are concerned about where concession money has been going.

Concession sales are used by boosters to fund athletic programs.

12News has requested from BISD, checks and invoices that would account for concession sale money, also documentation as to whether BISD employees are getting paid to work concessions for Central boosters.  West Brook and Ozen both have parents volunteering.

But all we've received from the district concerning our requests are receipts of money that the three high school booster clubs have paid for Pepsi products that are sold at the concession stands.
