Jefferson County deputy involved in wreck

A Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy is recovering from injuries suffered in a wreck Saturday morning. Spokesperson Rod Carroll tells 12 News The accident involved a white pickup truck. Deputy Carroll says the wreck happened around 1:22 Saturday morning in the westbound service road at the intersection of FM 365 and Interstate 10.  The truck was making a left turn when it hit the driver's side door of the deputy's patrol car.  The deputy and three other people were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. All patients have been released. Deputy Carroll says The driver has been issued a citation for failing to yield right of way and driving without a license.
