A 33-year-old Beaumont man is in jail after police say they caught him in the act of burglarizing a home around 2 p.m. Thursday.

According to a news release from the Beaumont Police Department, the burglary happened in the 1300 block of Galway Drive.  A witness called police saying he saw a man break a window and climb inside.  The news release says when police arrived they saw a man, identified as Frank Sinatra Collier, standing inside the house.  Collier waved at officers, and then ran out the back door.  Officers chased, caught and handcuffed Collier.

A police spokesperson said Collier had property from the house in his possession.

Collier was taken to the Jefferson County Jail on a burglary charge.  His bond is set at $20,000.
