8 injured in Hardin County house fire

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office and the Silsbee Fire Department are investigating a house fire that happened Sunday morning on the 2800 block of Firetower Road near Silsbee. Eight people were injured and transported to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont by Alpha Rescue and Acadian EMS. There of those injured were then transferred to Shriners Burn Center. The injuries range from smoke inhalation, minor burns, and critical injuries to three people. The injured range in ages 1 year of age to 45 years of age.  Authorities are not releasing names at this time.  The first emergency unit arrived at the scene in about one minute after the initial call came in at 6:14a.m.
