Fannett man accused of shooting his father has been indicted

Posted:

A Fannett man accused of shooting his father and fleeing the scene has been formally indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury.

Authorities say 45-year-old Daniel Gary Moton shot his father several times early this month -- on the 14000 block of Gray Road in Fannett.

Moton then led police on a chase that sometimes exceeded 100 miles an hour.

The chase ended in the driveway of Moton's mothers home on Fannett Road.

He faces charges of aggravated assault of a family member with a deadly weapon and evading arrest.
