It's election day in Texas. Polls are open and will remain open until 7 p.m.
Some of the issues of interest on today's ballot include a bond issue for the Silsbee Independent School District and a proposition that would allow mixed drink sales at Silsbee restaurants. Voters in Buna are considering a bond issue. State-wide there are nine propositions on the ballot.
Today's election is the first held since Texas's voter ID law went into effect.
