People flooded to the Beaumont Police Department's 2nd annual Trunk or Treat Thursday night, doubling last years attendance.
This year it was held in the Civic Center due to concerns with the weather.
The Department estimates more than 4,000 people showed up Thursday.
Officers don't only attribute the weather but good planning and of course touted the event as the safest place on Halloween night.
The event was scheduled to end at 7.p.m. but lasted until 8 p.m. so every person in line could trick or treat.
Turnout was so big the candy almost ran out. But Police Chief Jimmy Singletary gave officers his credit card to buy more candy so no child would be without a Halloween.
