BEAUMONT -

For more than two decades, Robin Buchholz has been keep track of all her son's baseball statistics.

She says, "I've been keeping the books since he was in t-ball, so probably since he was about 6."

But now she's in the big leagues literally, Robin is the mother of Clay Buchholz, a Boston Red Sox pitcher, who's scheduled to pitch in the World Series Sunday.

Thursday, Robin and Clay's sister and brother were at Major League Grill in Beaumont watching Game 2 on television.

But the family plans to head to St. Louis Sunday to watch Game 4 of the series between the Red Sox and Cardinals.

Clay is scheduled to take the mound for that game, despite recent problems with his shoulder.

The 29-year-old righthander has been with the Red Sox since 2007, and still popular with Boston fans, who Robin says have high expectations.

She said, "If you're good, they're loving you.  If you do bad, not so much."

But mom is less demanding, Robin says she's Clay's number 1 fan.

She told us, "Whether he does good or bad, he's still our son, he's still my baby, I will love him whatever he does out there, I will love him."
