Property recovered, three in custody in Old Town Beaumont burglaries

A police spokesperson Wednesday said two adults and a juvenile are in custody after officers searched a north end apartment and found items taken in a string of Old Town burglaries. The search warrant was issued after officers received an anonymous tip.

Detectives and members of the Beaumont Police Department Special Assignment Unit served the search warrant around 12:45 p.m. at an apartment in the Plymouth Village Apartments located at 5080 Helbig Road. Officers found electronics, jewelry and handguns that were taken in various burglaries in late September.

Sgt. Rob Flores identifies the two adults arrested as David Dwayne Johnson, 22, and Onesha Rashay Bruno, 19, both of Beaumont. The name of the juvenile, 16, has not been released.

A news release issued just before 4 p.m. says detectives are interviewing Johnson and Bruno and charges will be determined following the interviews.
