UPDATE: October 10, 2013, 3:00 p.m. -- Bryce Reed has plead guilty.

Bryce Reed has plead guilty to two counts; conspiracy to make a destructive device and an attempt to obstruct justice. These are both lesser charges. Originally, his charge was possession of a destructive device.

Reed could face up to 25 years in prison.

The case will now go before the probation office and they will make a recommendation to the judge. That date is set for December 4.

Bryce Reed is still allowed to stay with his mother in Dallas.

(KCEN) -- Bryce Reed's attorney has reached a plea agreement involving Reed's alleged possession of bomb-making materials.

Reed's attorney, Jonathon Sibley, has reportedly asked U.S. District Judge Walter Smith for a time extension to finalize the agreement.

Bryce Reed, the former West EMS volunteer, was arrested in May on charges of possessing bomb-making materials. The McLennan County Sheriff's Department's Bomb Squad was called to an Abbott home on May 7 where they found bomb making materials.
