Rick's Cabaret buys old "Wild Bill's" location; to build either Bombshells or Ricky Bobby Sports Saloon

An old nightclub that has stood vacant for years near the corner of Interstate 10 and College Street is getting new owners.

Rick's Cabaret International, Inc. announced they purchased the property where Wild Bill's last stood. Wild Bills closed years ago and was owned previously by numerous different parties under numerous different names.

The property sits at 4120 College St. near I-10 and will house a restaurant and sports bar.

The company says it will open a "modern, high energy "Bombshells" or "Ricky Bobby Sports Saloon." The company opened its first Bombshells restaurant and sports bar in Dallas in February and its first Ricky Bobby Sports Saloon restaurant in Ft. Worth in July. A second Bombshells is currently planned in the Houston suburb of Webster.

"The Beaumont property fits perfectly into our plans to extend our restaurant/sports bar division," said Eric Langan, president and CEO of Rick's Cabaret in a press release. "It's at the busy intersection of College and I-10 and will be an ideal location for us."

No word yet on when the plan on opening.
