Robbery career gains life sentence for Port Arthur man

A Port Arthur man Friday was sentenced to life in prison after his convictions in multiple robberies.

James Lee Williams was handed the life sentence before Judge John Stephens.

Williams was arrested in July for a home invasion on Amherst Street in Port Arthur where police accuse him of kicking the door in and dragging a 73-year-old-woman around the house as he stole things.

Friday's life sentence was handed down in connection with a 2010 aggravated robbery, also a home invasion, for which his probation was revoked following his latest arrest.
