ORANGE - An Orange man being held in connection to the stabbing death of his uncle once wrote on his Facebook page just days ago that he would "one day like to eat human..."

Orange police found the body of 50-year-old Roy James Philmon stabbed to death in a house at 407 Bilbo in Orange. He was found just after midnight Monday morning.

Police say Philmon's nephew, 22-year-old Christopher Philmon lived at the home and fled in his uncle's car after stabbing him.

Police say Christopher surrendered himself to authorities after he walked into a store on Hwy 290 in Houston and asked the clerk to call police. He surrendered once deputies arrived.

The suspect's mother, Lynette Philmon, tells 12News that the stabbing could have been the result of one of her son's schizophrenic episodes. She was on scene with other family members Monday morning. She is also the victim's sister.

Police say the stabbing stemmed from an argument between Chris and his Uncle Roy.

Lynette says her son suffers from schizophrenia which causes him to hallucinate and at times cut his own wrists.

On his facebook page. Chris last week posted that "One day I will eat human and finally find out if it really tastes like pork."

"They had a really good relationship so I don't know why he would hurt him, said Lynette. "But when he is in that state he hears voices and voices tell him stuff."

Lynette says she saw that Facebook post and didn't want to believe her son would say such a thing. She said her son was waiting on Social Security disability to help him afford proper medication.
