Community calls on faith to heal Baby Faith

Posted: Updated:

Investigators with the Port Arthur Police Department say they expect to meet with the Jefferson County District Attorney's office and the Department of Family and Protective Services Thursday to discuss the baby Faith Mason case.

They will be solidifying what charges to pursue against a suspect or suspects.

Baby Faith is recovering from apparent child abuse at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston.

Doctors have put her in a full body cast to help her heal. She is suffering from 19 fractures including a broken neck, broken arms and legs and a brain bleed.

A prayer vigil for the healing of Baby Faith was held Wednesday at Lake View Palms Apartments where Faith lived with her parents.

Faith's mother attended, but declined comment.

A parental rights hearing is expected to be held next Thursday.  It will be held on August 29 in Judge Larry Thorne's courtroom.
