Doctors at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston say they are putting Baby Faith into a full body cast to help her heal.
Texas Department of Family Protective Services Spokesperson Shari Pulliam tells 12News the one-month old child remains in guarded condition.
Puliam says that while doctors expect the one month old to survive, they are not sure as to what her quality of life will be.
Authorities say Faith Mason suffered a total of 19 fractures including broken arms and legs, a dislocated shoulder and blood on the brain.
Police believe a family member caused the injuries to baby faith.
But officers are not ready to identify that person, who they don't believe is a flight risk.
Police say it could be two weeks before charges are filed.
Faith was first taken to Christus Hospital St. Mary by a cousin over the weekend, then airlifted to Texas Children's Hospital.
Major Raymond Clark with the Port Arthur Police Department says if the baby's cousin had not taken her to the hospital when she did, Faith would have died.
If you would like to attend, there is a vigil planned for tonight at 7:30 Lake View Palms Apartments in Port Arthur.
