Beaumont police say a woman who robbed a store Friday was found driving a stolen car.
Around 8 p.m. Friday, a woman went into the Pine Street Market located at 4309 Pine St. and purchased a drink and left. A few minutes later she returned and pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. When the clerk didn't act fast enough, she put the handgun to the clerk's head. The clerk gave the woman the cash from the drawer.
The woman fled the store and got into a silver colored Mercedes.
The clerk was able to get the license plate number.
A short while later, Beaumont police officers spotted a woman driving the car. Inside the vehicle they found money and a black air pistol.
The clerk from the store was able to identify the driver as the woman who robbed the store.
During this investigation, officers at the scene found that the vehicle had been reported stolen earlier that day.
The suspect, Pamela Wilturner, 42, was later booked into the Jefferson County Jail and charged with aggravated robbery, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
