Authorities believe same man targeted banks in Beaumont, Orange

Posted: Updated:
SOUTHEAST TEXAS -

The Beaumont and Orange police departments along and the FBI hope to take a bank bandit off the street before he strikes again.

Beaumont police say a man dressed in a green shirt, blue jeans and a Dallas Cowboys baseball cap walked in Prosperity Bank just before 10 a.m. Monday morning.  He gave the teller a note threatening her life and demanding money. Police say he fled on foot with the cash.

Prosperity Bank is on Eastex freeway between the Dowlen Road and State Highway 105 exits.

Saturday morning Orange police say a man wearing the same outfit robbed the Chase bank in the 3100 block of 16th street.

Police say the man walked in just after 10 a.m. He gave the teller a note demanding money but appeared nervous and before getting anything he fled on foot.

If you recognize the man in the pictures above, call crime stoppers at 409-833-TIPS (8477.)
