Police say man in custody targeted debit card users in Groves and Port Arthur

A spokesperson for the Port Arthur Police Department said Reston Moore, 33, is in custody after he took money out of the debit card accounts of ATM customers who used ATMs along Highway 73 in Groves and Port Arthur.

Police say Moore would watch people use ATMs.  When a customer did not close out his or her transaction before leaving, he would use the ATM to remove as much money form the account as he could.

Moore is currently charged with two counts of debit card abuse.

Police ask anyone who has noticed unusual activity on their account after using an ATM along 73 in Groves or Port Arthur to call the Port Arthur Police Department.
