BEAUMONT -

12News has obtained dash camera video showing a Beaumont police officer being shot at about six times.

The incident took place November 13, 2011 during a chase.  Joseph Matthew Brooks Dudley, 19, was wanted for auto burglary.

Police chased him to a dead end street, but the video shows Dudley jumping the curb in his pickup truck, then getting out and going into a wooded area.

Officer Michael Jones followed him, and that's when the video shows Dudley firing several shots at the officer.

Dudley was eventually arrested.

Last month, he pleaded guilty to attempted capital murder.

On Monday, the 19-year-old was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the crime.
