A boater was found safe after witnesses said his boat was capsized Saturday night.
A man and his wife were fishing near the MLK bridge near pleasure island when they said they saw a man in an aluminum boat which was flipped by a passing ship.
The Port Arthur Fire Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office used boats to search the area for about an hour and a half. The boater was later found at a nearby boat ramp. His boat was full of water, but was able to make it back to shore.
Authorities said the boater was not injured.
