DPS identifies woman killed in Jasper County accident

A spokesperson for the Department of Public Safety has identified a woman who was killed in an accident early Friday morning.  Trooper Stephanie Davis said the victim is Kimberly Dinsdale, 23, of Jasper.

Jasper county Troopers around 3:30 a.m. were dispatched to a one-vehicle accident on FM 1747 in Jasper County.  FM 1747 is west of Jasper.

Trooper Davis said a 2009 Pontiac passenger vehicle was traveling southbound on FM 1747 at an unsafe speed.  Dinsdale lost control of the vehicle and it went off the roadway to the left striking an embankment which caused the vehicle to go airborne.  Dinsdale was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Ronny Billingsley.

An investigator said Dinsdale was not wearing a seat belt.

As part of this crash investigation, Troopers collected a blood specimen which will be submitted to a DPS lab for analysis. Results of the blood analysis usually return within 4-6 months.
