BEAUMONT -

Beaumont police late Friday afternoon released the names of the three men who were killed in a shootout Thursday night.

Police say 28-year-old MacGarrret Jack, his uncle 62-year-old Preston Wilson, and 29-year-old Joshua Caesar were all killed after a confrontation with another group of men ended in gunfire.

Detectives say they questioned a person of interest in the shooting.  Michael Ray Carmen Jr, 25, of Beaumont spend Friday afternoon with investigators after he voluntarily arrived at the police station.

Police were called to the 1000 block of Prairie Avenue between Neches and Park Streets at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday.  Police say all three of the deceased were found dead outside of the home under a carport. The two injured were taken to a local hospital.  One has been treated and released.  Police are interviewing him.  The other wounded man was transferred to the University of Texas Medical Branch with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body, and one wound to the lower body.

Sgt. Flores tells 12News the shooting happened when a group of men approached the home and began talking to the victims who were playing dominos under the carport. They said an argument began and before long, shooting erupted.

Sgt. Flores said two other adults who were outside watching the dominos game were not injured in the shooting.

An officer said there were also three children inside the home at the time of the shooting. Those children have been placed with other family.

Jonathan Garcia, a witness on the scene, told 12News he heard four shots and then heard a crash. Garcia said the noise was the suspected getaway car hitting his family's pickup.

A friend of one of the victims told 12News that one of the victims is the 28-year-old owner of the home at which the shooting took place.

"This is very devastating. Beaumont has a lot of crimes going on. As people we need to come together. They need to stop," says Erica Henry, friend of one of the victims.

Henry says "He was like a little brother to me. He will be very missed."

Police say the getaway car is a black SUV that likely has damage to the driver side.

"We really need help from anybody who knows anything about this. People will start talking. We're looking for several subjects who were in a dark colored SUV, maybe last seen leaving west on Prairie," says Sgt. Flores.
