The parents of ExxonMobil fire victim Dustin Creekmore spoke about their profound loss. Creekmore died at UTMB in Galveston Saturday from injuries he suffered in a flash fire at ExxonMobil in Beaumont April 17.

He was one of 12 injured in the accident.

Dustin was a boilermaker working for Signature Industrial Services. His parents Terry and Deborah say their son was hardly recognizable and at first, responsive in the hospital.

Doctors were optimistic about Dustin's recovery, but over time his kidneys failed and Dustin passed away.

"He was such a good kid, God didn't want him on this earth anymore. He took him home," Dustin's Father, Terry, said.

Dustin had dreams of becoming a professional mixed martial artist.

He graduated from Warren High in 2006 and learned to play instruments by just listening to them.

Dustin has a baby boy on the way and his family says he took care of his girlfriend's daughter as his own.

Donations are being accepted to help his family and to help pay for funeral expenses. Dustin's family says donations are being accepted at the website to the left of this story. Just type in "Dustin Creekmore" in the search.

T-shirts are being sold in Warren at the "Shirt Shack" and in Groves at "Graffiti Ink."
Proceeds will go to the Creekmore family.
