Early voting begins today in the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Consolidated Independent School District bond election.
If passed, the $56 Million bond proposal would fund projects on all campuses in the district, with a top priority of improving security.
The district plans to construct a secure main entrance at all campuses and eliminate exterior walkways.
Residents can expect to see a 38-cent tax increase per $100 of valuation if the bond passes.
Some early voting locations include the LC-M Education Center, Orange Public Library and the Mauriceville Fire Department.
Early voting lasts until May 7. Hours for early voting are from 8:30 to 4:30.
