Beaumont man indicted in police officer dragging

A Beaumont man has been indicted by the Jefferson County Grand Jury in the dragging a police officer.

Reginald Keller, 34, is formally charged with one count of evading arrest and one count of assault on a public servant.

Police say a Beaumont police officer was dragged by Keller near the "Magic City Lounge" on March 17. The officer had approached Keller's vehicle to ask him to move it. Keller then drove his car into oncoming traffic.  The officer's hand got stuck in the door and he was dragged a short distance.
