Port Arthur Police Raid Club for "Lap Dances"

The Port Arthur Police Department has released new information to 12 News about a raid at the Emerald City night club located in the 3100 block of Gulfway Dr.  Officer Marcello Malfino with the Street Crimes Division said the club owner, Felicia Lily, 42, was arrested late Friday night for violation of a city ordinance regulating sexually oriented businesses.

Officer Malfino said dancers at the club performed lap dances on informants and cooperating witnesses for $10 per dance. Officer Malfino says touching was involved which violates city code.  He says the club owner does not have the proper permits to operate a sexually oriented business in the city.

Officer Malfino said the club owner denies it's a sexually oriented business because there are no "V.I.P." rooms at her establishment.

Felicia Lily posted bond. Officer Malfino told 12News Lily said she will fight the charges in city court.
