Posted:

Port Arthur police say a clerk was robbed at knife point by a ski-mask-wearing bandit Monday morning.

A news release issued by the Port Arthur Police Department says the robbery happened just before 4 a.m. at a store located at 7628 Memorial Blvd. When officers got to the store they talked to the clerk who said a man wearing a ski mask and dressed in all black clothing came into the business armed with a butcher's knife. He said the robber demanded money from the clerk before jumping over the counter and opened the cash register.

The robber took cash and fled on foot from the store.

Detectives have not released any other information about the robbery.
