(KCEN) -- A community is coming together to help a high school senior critically injured in a car crash on March 8.
The wreck on 31st Street in Temple killed 53-year-old Susan Farly and 51-year-old Tina Piedra and left her son, Fabian Vargas, severely injured.
Vargas is a senior at Temple High School and is involved in several school activities, including his passion, band.
As of now, Vargas is still in the hospital in a medically-induced coma.
A fundraiser has been created to help Vargas' family with medical expenses. People are selling paper musical notes for one dollar. They have raised $1,400 so far.
A Wepay account has also been set up to accept donations for the family. That account can be found at https://www.wepay.com/donations/1535065718.
Gogo's Frozen Yogurt and Cupcakes will donate 15 percent of purchases on Monday the 18th to Vargas' family.
Anyone interested in selling musical notes can contact Tammy Bailey at tammybailey@tisd.org.
