Angel San Juan


Angel San Juan has been in the broadcast news industry for more than 20 years, the majority of that time right here in Southeast Texas.

Angel is a native of Texas, born in Houston to parents who are Cuban immigrants. Angel says his parents are his heroes for the sacrifices they made to build a better life for Angel and his older brother.

Angel is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, and he began his career reporting in Lufkin, before moving to Beaumont in 1998 to work at KFDM, where he reported and was weekend anchor.

In 2007, Angel moved to Channel 4, to be that station's morning anchor. A year later, Angel was promoted to News Director.

In 2013, Angel joined the 12 News team, where he reunited with many of his longtime colleagues and friends.

Angel has a passion for news gathering and for Southeast Texas. He's an award-winning journalist, who's also very active in his community, emceeing and volunteering for dozens of events a year.

His work in Southeast Texas has earned him the reputation as one of the most trusted and respected reporters in our area.

In addition to reporting, Angel's interests include movies, Presidential history and spoiling his God son, Jansen.
