BOSTON, March 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Vance New York Municipal Bond Fund (NYSE MKT: ENX) (the "Fund"), a closed-end management investment company, today announced the earnings of the Fund for the three months ended December 31, 2012. The Fund's fiscal year ends on September 30, 2013.

For the three months ended December 31, 2012, the Fund had net investment income of $2,911,890 ($0.183 per share). In comparison, for the three months ended December 31, 2011, the Fund had net investment income of $3,004,420 ($0.189 per share).

Net realized and unrealized losses for the three months ended December 31, 2012 were $1,423,987 ($0.090 per share). In comparison, net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended December 31, 2011 were $3,896,985 ($0.245 per share).

On December 31, 2012, net assets of the Fund were $228,546,678. The net asset value per share on December 31, 2012 was $14.38 based on 15,893,773 shares outstanding. In comparison, on December 31, 2011, net assets of the Fund were $212,737,072. The net asset value per share on December 31, 2011 was $13.40 based on 15,877,147 shares outstanding.
