Neighbors Collecting Clothes For Eddy Family Displaced By Fire

Posted: Updated:

A family of four has to stay with friends in Waco after their Eddy home burned to the ground just after 12:15 Friday morning.

Neighbors heard several explosions, which firefighters say came from the four cars in the driveway. They believe the fire spread through the property after starting in the shed. They are not yet sure why the fire started.

The family includes two teen boys and their parents. They grabbed their dog and ran to neighbor Sheila Fouts's house for cover.

"They heard an explosion and went in and saw that the house was on fire, got the kids out, the family out. And I mean, it was gone within a matter of minutes. Within an hour the whole house was gone," Fouts said.
