Three taken to hospital following I-10 collision in Rose City

ROSE CITY - Three people were taken the hospital after a head-on collision in Rose City this morning.

The accident was reported around 2:30 a.m.

A Department of Public Safety trooper on scene told 12News a white Toyota passenger car was heading eastbound in the westbound lanes of Interstate-10 near mile marker 856.  The car collided head-on with a blue Toyota Tundra.

An 18-wheeler traveling on the highway then hit some debris causing an oil spill and partial shutdown of I-10.

A driver and passenger from the truck were taken to the hospital in stable condition.  The driver of the white car was also reported to be in stable condition.
