12News spoke with DPS spokesperson Trooper Stephanie Davis by phone.  She said there were three people in the truck.  Two of them got out to try to free the trailer from the tracks.

The man who was killed has been identified as Joseph Grant, 22, of Kountze.  He was one of two men who were attempting to free the trailer from the tracks.  The other man who was helping in the attempt to free the trailer was not injured.
