A spokesperson for the Blount County Sheriff's Office in Tennessee told 12News Friday morning that a man Orange police want to talk to in connection with a missing person case has been arrested.

Investigators with the Orange Police Department say Joshua Latham, 26, of Orange, may have information about the disappearance of Tami Diane Higginbotham, 41, of Vinton.  Officers say Latham is also wanted for a felony probation violation out of Orange County.

Earlier this week, Orange Police Captain Cliff Hargrave told 12News that officers received a report that Higginbotham was missing.  She was last seen last Friday as she left for Orange.  Her vehicle was found parked at Blue Bird's Fish Camp on Simmons Drive.

Deputies in Tennessee received a tip from Texas investigators that Latham could be Blount County.  Deputies found him in Maryville, Tennessee around 8 p.m. Thursday and he was taken into custody.  Latham's girlfriend and baby were with him.  Police say they are safe.

A Sheriff's Office spokesperson said an Orange Police detective and a Texas Ranger are en rout to Tennessee to interview Latham.
