
(KCEN) -- A Temple woman was arrested yesterday evening after stabbing a man several times in the upper torso.
Around 4:50 p.m. Temple police officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1600 block of South 39th Street. When they arrived, they found the suspect, Serena Luna Rodriguez, 18, being restrained by a male. Officers arrested her without incident.
Police also found the victim lying on the ground near a vehicle with stab wounds to his upper torso. The victim was taken to Scott & White for treatment.
If appears the victim showed up at Rodriguez's home with his father and Rodriguez's mother. Rodriguez and the victim have a child together and the victim was there to pick up the child.
While at the residence, Rodriguez went up to the vehicle the victim was in. He opened the door to talk to her and that's when she pulled a knife from her pocket.
Rodriguez then stabbed the victim several times before the victim's father could restrain her.
She was taken to the Bell County Jail and charged with aggravated assault on a family member. Her bond has not yet been set.
