(KCEN) - The number of pediatric doctors nationwide is hazardously low, according to the American Medical Association.
Some parents are even traveling long distances or waiting several weeks just to see a doctor.
However Central Texas is a much different story because of new facilities like Scott&White's West Temple Pediatric Clinic.
The clinic will help better serve the growing population in the Western portion of Temple as well as patients from Morgan's Point and Belton.
The project cost $1.8 million and features 18 exam and two treatment rooms.
