Mix it up with a singing Valentine

Posted: Updated:
SOUTHEAST TEXAS -

Are you tired of the same old thing on Valentine's Day? A box of candy, flowers, a teddy bear - those are cliché. How about giving your honey something they'll never forget in the form of a singing Valentine?

Imagine: from out of the blue, four men bearing flowers appear at your sweetheart's home or work place singing sweet, tender love songs in gentle close harmony. As part of a local choir called the Harmony Exporters this quartet puts a twist on the classic Valentine singing love songs from the 40s, 50s and the turn of the century.

It's all about the element of surprise and wouldn't your love be surprised if the King of Rock and Roll showed up, belting out classic Elvis love songs?

Well Kent Kingsley will be heading all over the Golden Triangle to do just that, providing a Valentine's Day gift that will be remembered forever.

For the past five years with the company called "Legends at Your Door" Kingsley has been showing off the sounds and moves of Elvis with a fun and interactive performance.

A singing Valentine from the Harmony Exporters includes two songs, a personalized card and a rose all for about $50. To book a quartet contact Wayne Wise at (409) 679-7718.

If you want to send your sweetie a tune from "The King" the performance costs about $75. To book "The King" call Kent Kingsley at (409) 651-5318.
