(CNN) -- Maroon 5 frontman and "The Voice" mentor Adam Levine has joined the ranks of celebrities with signature scents.
The musician and budding actor revealed the two self-titled fragrances in his new perfume line - which includes one for men and another for women - in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
"2 facts about my fragrance," Levine told his fans on Twitter. "[One], men wont smell like a bad 80s movie." We appreciate that, personally. And two? "[W]omen wont smell like a stripper (not that theres anything wrong w/ that)."
Nice save, Levine. In all seriousness, though, he explained to People mag that interested testers can expect to sniff a "subtle scent ... not something that completely overtakes a room."
"I couldn't really conceive of the idea of not loving whatever it was," Levine told E! News. "The task was make something that I would wear. And that was a great process ... it smells great, I fully endorse it, and that makes me really happy because it has my name on it."
