A police spokesperson tells 12News that a misunderstanding led some neighbors in a Vidor neighborhood to call police about a man with a gun.
Shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday officers were called to a home located in the 900 block of Millie Street. A caller reported a suspicious person with a gun.
As police arrived at the house a man who had been sitting on the front porch cleaning a gun went inside the home.
Officers went to the door and confronted the man. They determined he was not doing anything illegal and no one was in danger.
No arrests have been made.
