At Tuesday's Port Arthur city council meeting, management will detail different scenarios to tighten security at City Hall.
Mayor Deloris Prince did not go into detail about the different security plans being planned; but says with recent crimes at city buildings across the country, it's time to beef up security.
"I just feel like in light of everything that's going on, not just in this area but around the country, those persons who come to city hall should feel safe," says Prince.
Prince says the city has been working for over a year on implementing a security system.
12News will be at Tuesday's meeting when the new ideas are introduced to the mayor.
