A Vidor man remains in the ICU after he was shot in the face early Thursday morning.  Detectives are waiting for a chance to interview him.

Orange County Sheriff's Deputy Chad Hogan tells 12News that deputies were called to a home in the 2900 block of FM 1131 in Vidor around 1:15 a.m. Thursday.  When they got to the house they found Darius Lacombe, 50, of Vidor, with a gunshot to his face.  He was taken to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont by medical helicopter.

Witnesses told investigators they did not know why Lacomb was shot, but identified the shooter as Bryan Allen Duhon, 26, of Buna.  They said Duhon fled before deputies arrived.

Lacombe underwent surgery and remains in critical but stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Sgt. Hogan told 12News Friday morning that investigators have still not been able to speak to Lacombe due to his condition.

Duhon was located by Orange County Sheriff's Deputies with the assistance of the US Marshals Service. He was arrested for two outstanding Orange County warrants for Probation Violation and Motion to Impose Guilt. Duhon was taken to the Orange County jail.  His bond has been denied due to the outstanding Probation Violation warrants.

This investigation is ongoing.
