A teenager has been taken to the Minnie Rogers Juvenile Detention Center after police say he attempted a home invasion robbery Sunday night.

Just before 10 p.m. officers were called to the 2200 block of Evalon Avenue. A 911 caller said a male who had a bandana covering his face had forced his way inside. The homeowner overpowered the intruder, forced him outside and called the police.

A patrol officer in the 2200 block of Ashley Avenue found a teen matching the description of the intruder. The teen was positively identified by the victim.  He was taken to the Minnie Rogers Juvenile Detention Center and booked in for burglary of a habitation.
