A man who used a knife to rob an Orange County convenience store clerk Wednesday morning remains at large.
Orange County Sheriff's Office Sergeant Chad Hogan says the robbery happened around 5:30 a.m. at the M&S Grocery Store located at 10876 FM 1130. The clerk told deputies she was straightening shelves behind the counter when an unknown male came into the store, threatened her with a knife and demanded money.
The store clerk complied with the robbers demands and gave him the cash drawer from the register. The robber grabbed the cash and ran out of the store. He fled in a southerly direction toward the Kinard Estates subdivision.
A news release issued by the Sheriff's Office Wednesday afternoon describes the robber as a male, unknown race, approximately 5' 5" tall with a small frame. He was wearing a dark colored ski mask and dark colored jacket.
Orange County Sheriff's Office Investigators are conducting the investigation and are currently following up on several leads.
