From Beaumont Municipal Transit System
The new route changes for Beaumont Municipal Transit System's Fixed Route Bus Service will go into effect on Monday, January 7, 2012. The changes to the bus system are as follows:
1) We are initiating a new route which will be called the #10 "college Street" route. It will start at Dannenbaum Station, and will service several new areas for the Bus system:
a) College Street (between 11th and Dowlen);
b) Major Dr. Between Phelan and Folsom;
c) The Social Security Office at Major and Dishman,
d) and Dowlen between Folsom and Gladys, including the HEB on Dowlen.
2) The existing #8 "College" route will be renamed the #* "Pear Orchard" route, and it will remain paired with our #3 "Calder" route.
3) To accommodate addition of the new "College Street" route:
a. Monday thru Friday, one bus will be removed from the #1 "Magnolia"/#6 "Refinery" paired routes. This will leave two buses on these two routes, and will cause scheduling changes to those routes schedules.
B. On Saturdays, the #2 "Parkdale" only bus will be removed from that route. This will leave two buses on this route, and will cause scheduling changes to the route schedule.
