No injuries from fire at Hardin County oil production site

A spokesperson for the Silsbee Volunteer Fire Department tells 12 News there are no injuries following a fire at an oil well just outside of Silsbee Tuesday morning.

The fire was reported just before 8 a.m. at an oil production company's site located on FM 418 between Silsbee and Kountze. Assistant Fire Chief Jay Hinkie tells 12 News the fire started as a pump operator was attempting to relight a boiler following some type of equipment failure. Fire spread to oil on the ground.

The fire was quickly put out without any complications.
